I am a mother of four girls who has discovered over time that buying healthy, chemical free food isn't cheap! We are a pretty low income family and the things I can afford to buy at the store to feed my growing girls are not things I want in their bodies. I have had absolutely no luck growing much from the ground so I'm really hoping aquaponics is the the answer! I have spent countless hours doing research and now have my first system set up. If I can keep strawberries and goldfish alive for several weeks I plan on going much bigger outside. It's great to know that there are a lot of people on here using this system and supporting each other. Any advice, pointers, or ways to keep things cheap are always welcome! Here's what I have hooked up so far...

Hi Jenny! How is the table top system going so far?

I'm in Ohio (Cincinnati), so you're the geographically closest person I've yet found on this forum. I am just beginning to design an indoor apartment-sized system that I plan to put in my living room. I may do a smaller system like the one you pictured also, as I am on a pretty limited budget myself, and I can put that together much quicker and cheaper than the main system I have planned.
