Hey all, I am a new member but actually I have visited this board before for ideas.

A little bit about my history with aquaponics: About a year and a half ago I began my aquaponics project. I went with a 275 gal IBC tote and put it in my greenhouse in my backyard. I wanted it to be solar-powered so installed a solar kit which has worked out great. Golden tilapia was my fish of choice. I am using Growstones as my medium.

I went into it with high hopes of huge, fast growing crops, but it didn't work out that way. I had to constantly struggle with Ph levels (the tap water here is atrocious) because my all plants would grow very slowly, then turn yellow and die. I also had mold and aphids problems.

I must admit that I neglected the aquaponics for a short time out of frustration, but I've just cleaned out my tank and spent 4 days conditioning the water, and installed a few new features. I'm going to post my setup in another thread to get some feedback but I wanted to introduce myself here first.

Cheers!

Diego

We looked at some condos there. I am just south by Main Street, between hilltop and melrose.
