Hi everyone, just discovered that aquaponics existed, super excited about it. It's one of those rare occasions where I show my wife an idea and instead of telling me how daft it is she gets, if anything, even more excited that me.

Anyway, I'm up in Townsville and have an ok sized backyard so once I finish reading the IBC's of aquaponics I'll get stuck into it. Probably asking a hundred questions along the way!

Thanks for the welcome, guys and girls. I'll definitely pop up some photos once I've got something worth posting. I got three IBCs yesterday but they're not much to look at. Really enjoying the forum so far, there are some great setups here. Especially loving the solar ones! If it weren't for the panel and battery prices that would be very tempting.

Just bought The Backyard Aquaponics Manual and am really enjoying it. After that I guess I'll start on Jaymie's amazing thread, which I just discovered and appears to be longer than War and Peace ;)

He was just a fun fellow! I started using images of him as profile pics year ago and now I'm just sortof used to having him there...
