Hi Everyone. Been an avid reader here for over six months, learning everything I could about aquaponics before starting my build at Xmas. Just like to thank everyone here who contributes to create such a great forum. So I started by making a couple of fish tanks from a 5kl gumtree water tank and went from there. I'm cycling at the moment and trying to source some trout and for the first time in my life wishing winter would come asap, guess I will start a system thread and carry on over there. thanks everyone and cheers. My system totals approximately 9kl with 4 cut up IBC's (8 growbeds) containing 3ton of scoria and 1ton of river pebbles over the top, so eventually i think i could easily handle 100, but for this winter ( if it ever arrives ! ) being a new system, run by a complete fishkeeping newbie, not yet even cycled, I thought about 30 to 50 would be safe to try ? Size wise, well the bigger the better I guess as we have a short growing season here. Do you have some already you can sell me or are you thinking of a group buy ?
