HYPOTHETICAL for feasibility & pro forma budgets.

Growing medium = 213 M2
Feeding @ 60-100 grams of feed / M2 / day
Utilize Barramundi as my fish species

What size tanks would be required for this species?
At what age & size can they be harvested for protein?
Can you point to any current research on growth in freshwater?

Thanks

The waste water from farm production of this species is used in hyrdoponics but not sure how well
it would work in aquaponics. Larger fingerlings eat smaller so have to size separate.

1.2 lbs feed :1 lb gain ratio is great though.

Barra are a fresh water fish which migrate to the sea. They are all born male and some turn female between 5/7 years. 500 grams is considered plate size and can be achieved in 1 year if the conditions and water temperature are within the correct boundries.
