Greetings everyone! :wave1:

Long time lurker here, there's just an incredible amount of information to go through on this website. I've been reading about aquaponics because of my interest in permaculture. In fact, I'd like to start a medium sized system at my school, so I have some reading to catch up on! However, I think that should be the topic of another thread.

I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this community!

South eastern, flirting with the Ohio river down here. You had any luck sourcing food grade IBC's or barrels outside of major city's? (probably a loaded question that you're rock throwing distance from cleveland.)

i kept my eye on craigslist for a while until i found some for $40 each, about an hour and a half from where i live..use 275 gal or 330 gal for your search terms on craigslist..
right after i got my ibc's, a landscaping company 5 minutes away from my house had a bunch for sale for $25 - they only contained dye used for mulch...

I'm certain that I will be asking lots of questions BEFORE I get my system up and going. The largest hurdle for me is going to be the budget, and trying to locate the materials I need.
