Hi all! I've had some success with planting in the soil and have wanted to try water for a long while. Hydro and aero systems seemed really wasteful to me though, and I didn't like the unsustainability of constantly buying chemical fertilizers. Anyways, aquaponics is something I'm going to try in the very near future. I'm a teacher and hoping my at-home attempts with a larger system will help me in setting up smaller ones for the classroom.
Frugal by nature, I'm looking for ways to accomplish this without buying prefab systems. Sees you around the watering hole
