Been having a good time with my little experimental setup and want to expand. It been running since the 1st of oct. Have about a 27gal fishtank (storage tote) and a 15 gal growbed.
System is cycled and growing great.
It cycles 6oz of ammonia in 24hrs with the nitrites and nitrates staying about 0. Is this a good balance or is that not very much ammonia?
Either way im ready to add fish just waiting till i get some heat figured out for the tank.

Also just picked up a 55gal blue barrel and trying to figure out what to do with it. Do i wait till i get another one and use one for FT and the other for 2 grow beds? Or just open it up and use for a fish tank and add another later for GBs

If you can wait long enuf to find a bigger tank then you can use all the barrels as beds:D

Yeah that is another option i suppose, trying not to go crazy as i will have to move the system in about 6 months

Working on an expansion. 55 fall fish tank. 3,20 gal grow beds. 30 gal sump.
