Post subject:  Hi's from Pattaya, Thailand....new system

Greetings to all budding Buddists et all! :wave1:

Like a lot of other people I got rather excited with AP's and started a trial system which has grown 100% in the last week. Original set-up, 2 x fish tanks stocked with 34 tilapia fingerlings, 1 x bio-filter, 1 x grow bed, 1 x sump. The system cycled but not before my wife planted a bunch of vegies and died quickly. As I work offshore it's difficult to have a 'hands-on' all the time. So far the vegies are showing reasonable signs of growth although the grow-bed is mostly in the shade, so will have to figure the best vegies to grow. The new system is similar to above described just larger in every way and now 2 x grow beds, waiting for grow bed 2 to cycle before planting. I have only been able to check PH which at the moment is around 7 - 7.5, dont have access to meters for 'rites n rates', they may be available in Thailand but I have no clue on that.

Looking forward to some good growth.

A special thank you to those people that put this site together and everyone else that has posted etc.

Hi Slowboat.....I have attached some pics from the begining and up to the upgrade of this week.
The new upgrade uses two linked growbeds running off one Afnan syphon which feed in to 2 linked sumps before being pumped to the 2 fish tanks/bins. The vegies have been in the first growbed for almost 4 weeks, so I'm hopeful of some decent results.
