I've been looking at aquaponics for years since my father-in-law sent me Murray Hallam's videos. I finally took the plunge when a course was offered by my local community college (www.mccneb.edu). we used Sylvia Bernstein's book for our course material. I built a 70 gallon system that I can move inside during the winter and lives on my porch in fair weather.

Welcome neighbor. There are a few of us in the metro area that have been bitten by the bug; myself, CityRootsFarm, and Island_Dan. I'm assuming you took Mike K's course at MCC. He's a great guy and has been a big help to me.

That is correct. I copied his T2 system and it's fully up and running with 25 white nile.

Welcome Keith!! The forum has a lot of great info, I have read her book and it was a good starting point but some of the guys on here have been doing it for a lot longer and failed a lot more then she has. So it is a big help to be able to ask them!

Wow another Nebraskan here! Glad to see Husker nation is representing! I'm just now getting my head wrapped around the idea of building an aquaponics system. If you're willing Keith, I'd love to see how you set up your system.
