Hi APers,

Yet another AP noob here...

I recently became interested in AP after building a greenhouse that hasn't fared as well as I had hoped. I'm hoping to significantly increase yields and avoid the bug and fungus issues that seem to come with working with soil. Some home grown Tilapia would also be nice :D

While exploring IBC based solutions, I've found that the fact that my property is sloped may introduce some design challenges. I'm hoping that the attached approach may help address some of those issues.

Does anyone have any advise on this design? I know it seems like there's a lot of piping running amok but if the water coming in isn't kept level, will I run into issues about even distribution among the GBs? Gravity will also likely cause the lowest ST to fill with water quickly but I plan on an ~30 gal/min pump to move the water back to the FT pretty quickly. Will that be enough to prevent overflows? Note, the small pipes are 1" and the larger pipes are 1.5". Are those sizes sufficient?

Six 275G IBCs are on order that should arrive sometime next week and I'm looking forward to starting on this project next weekend.

Many thanks in advance for any advise!

Here's another angle to show the effect of the slope...
