Hi all,

I'm Dieter, from Antwerp, Belgium.

I found out about Aquaponics when I was browsing through Kickstarter. There was this Home Aquaponics Kit on there which is basically a fish tank with a growing bed above it (if I don't mix up all the terms. Like I said, I'm new) which drew my interest, so I started Googling Aquaponics!

A couple days after I got into all of this, a cousin moved, and dumped his fish tank at our place with a filter and 3 gold fish... (I measured it, and I think it's what is referred to as a 10g tank... it's 49x30x24 cm)

So now I want to figure out how I can get started and grow plants!

What I think would be easiest is if I just put some type of level above tank (I guess this is the growbed?) on which I can put a couple of individual growth pods through which I constantly push water?

Or is it better to instead of having those growth pods to fill the growbed with clay pebbles and just put the plants straight into that?

It looks like AP is starting to get popular in Belgium! There is even a brand new Belgium forum; http://www.aquaponic.be/

Enjoy your new addiction, and start sourcing hardware because... you will most probably want to expand before the first system is cycled :headbang:

Yeah, I read about that forum, but it's not active... And there seems to be a so much knowledge here that I will just post here :)
