Markatrog here, trog comes from our local MT bike group, lets ride and talk aquaponics ! Want to run a timer so my system shuts off at night, and doesn't run all day, I like the auto bell syphon and I want to let the system drain when the pump shuts off in the middle of a fill cycle during the day and at night. Will a hole drilled in stand pipe mess up the syphon?

No effect on the syphon action. You might be better just to go with a timed flood and drain though.

That would work but the 2 4x4 beds are a different size then the upside down IBC top, and can't get the timing rite with the valves. Think I want to put a swirl tank in as well but not understanding the water level part in the IBC, my pump is a 1/6 HP 950 GPM. The swirl will give me extra water to, as of now age GB are above the FT,
