How big is that tank? Looks a bit small IMO for that many fish.

its about 275 gallons it looks a bit small in the picture the tilapia right now are only about a half inch in size i have another 275 gallon tank to tranfer the tilapia to as they become larger and overload the system

Hi Octoponic, you have done a great job of building your first system.

A few points if I may...
Can you provide the LxWxH of your fish tank?
What is the volume of your grow beds?
Also, the dripper system you have designed may cause you problems with blocking in time and if you have them dripping and splashing on your plants they will rot.

WOW you sure don't muck about! :thumbleft:
I would agree with Charlie about the Dripper system, looks like it will be a real hassel to keep unblocked as well.
Cheers

yeah sure thank you for the input its 4.8L x 2.9W x 2.6D lol i googled the math and got 36.192 cubic feet and converted that to gallons at 270.735. The beds are 32 quart i got them in the concret sections at lowes they are 36"x24"x8"Yeah i was worried about the drip also i have done sprinklers for years i own a landscaping company I figured i could just blow out the system once a month or so with my compressor the reason I descided to use them was because i was having a hard time getting beds to fill and drain appropriatly these drips pump a max of 20gph i am using a 1250gph pond pump so i figure this would make them fill in 10-15 minutes with a rapid drain and repeat. Thank you both again for the input i did not conscider the rot from splashin i guess i can add longer drip tube and anchor them into the rock what do you think. Aghh i talk to much sorry.

Looks great! But those dripper spiders hanging over there.... That is, with some luck, where your plants are going to be. Get that stuff out of there... nothing but trouble...

You may find later on that the minimal overhead space will cause you issues especially with tomatoes and cucumbers. I am rebuilding my small greenhouse now and the growbeds are going to be as low as I can get them. Yes I know that means more bending but tomatoes grow tall...
