I've been lurking around here for a while and it's about time I signed up. Very interested in aquaponics for a long time now and I might just make a start one of these days, but I bet you read that a lot, eh? Although I'm interested in edible fish I'm pretty sure I'd start with ornamentals, probably goldfish since they can handle the temps in SEQ and they're reasonably 'dirty' (as far as aquariums are concerned at least). Probably 100 to 250L fish tank to begin. Heaps of experience in biological and gravel filters in aquaria, hoping that helps me some. Great site and I'm glad to be on board. Cheers

Gidday Bodgy and welcome to the forum. Goldfish would be a good idea in that water volume. Then you will of course want to expand in time
