This is one I expext you have all heard plenty of times already but a friend tells me that everybody tends to overfeed their fish, especially when they are small like mine are. So here are some pics' and if anyone could tell me how many teaspoons of food I should give them, both me and the fish will be extremely grateful. There are 25 little red and grey Tilapia in the tank in the picture

I feed mine as much as they will eat as many times a day as I can. I want my tilapia to grow as fast as possible. My fry get fed at least 5 times a day, bigger fish at least 2 times a day.

You will get many different answers. Factors to consider are stock density to filtration, temps, species and overall filtration volume.

I feed morning and evening for SP and 4 times a day with trout.

If your just starting out with a virgin system, feed morning and evening as you are but only lightly and build it up aas time goes by.

At the fingerling stage, roughly 10% of body weight per day is appropriate for tilapia. This gradually decreases as they grow larger in size. At 6 inches or so, they'll only require about 2%.
