I also new to the aquaponics phase and I am impress with how the plants can grow to so big a size. My name is Richard Burnicle. I live in a little country town in NSW called EUGOWRA. Which we are part of the Bushrangers country. I am looking into aquaponics and seeing which system will be suited to me. I had seen the IBC's being transformed into fish tank and grow beds for the aquaponics. Now in the past I did have goldfish swimming around in a glass fish tank and seeing them swim. Back then I didn't know you you could use the fish to grow veggies, fruit and herbs. So I am now convinced. I am just wondering if an aquaponics system help sell a home if the new owners knew that they are getting a new way of getting their next meal for free. Plus I am on a low income which means my funds are limited into buying big systems.

G'day Richard. IBC systems are definitely a great way to do Aquaponics on a budget, although I don't think they will help much to sell a house. Check out the IBC of Aquaponics at the top of the page here for some great ideas. |
