I would be very grateful if someone could look at the pictures I posted yestrday and tell me if they think that we have included enough filtration.

The tank is 250lts/55gal. It will house 25 Tilapia. The tall tube is a swirl filter filled with pumice and the Dutch buckets are filled with stones.

As of now it looks good.
You just have to keep testing your water regularly after your system starts working to see if you got enough filtration or not. For now by looks of it, it seams good enough. But time will tell later on.
Remember, the buckets with rocks in them have to have enough air go through them in order for bacteria to do it's work.

Yea, I love the design. Your neighbours must be interested in what your doing. Your town looks like something I have only ever seen in movies.. very cool.

Should do . Looks like my old nft. System . I had it running cf and had 20 liters of clay + the bacteria growing in the tubes for a 220 liter system .
Just be careful because fluctuations can happen very fast from over feeding and such . That is alot of fish for so little water , and that many fish will produce lots of waste which needs to be taken up in plants .intake in lettuce is not high ( they don't take up that much nutrients ) .
So maybe put a high intake plant (tomatoes) in one of the buckets that u r using to filter :) .
Also get as much oxygen as you can into the water . It allows for more room to make mistakes :)
