Hi all, I'm brand new to aquaponics and doing some research. I'm hoping to find enough answers to get a small test system of my own going.
I'm 100% broke and live in a flat with no garden so BRING ON THE KNOWLEDGE haha. Hopefully I can update this thread in a months time with some pics of my first set up!
I've noticed a lot of people involved in aquaponics are from the USA so are there any brits out there? Midlands area perhaps?
Many questions to follow no doubt.

Peace and love.

Welcome to the forums. There are plenty of ways to do things in AP without having to outlay heaps - lots of the bits can be cobbled together from cast offs and parts lying around sheds etc. Even the local tip (dump) could have things to use.

see you around the threads...

Hello J8ey,

I'm a new member here too, living in London and I don't have a system yet, but i'm making plans!

Good to have some fellow brits around :) Looking forward to seeing what creative solutions you come up with!

Hi Jey love
You are on my list of FB friends already, like you I have started my research and a pilot system from scrapped material, after evaluating and assesing the weakness and the strenghts I've decide to invest my all life and my resources in this project.
After experience and knowledge has been gained, I've decided to take it to the next level and build a farm on this concept, I'm based in Somerset and we are an aquaponic production farm, at the moment still in the set up process but up and running by july, you can have a look at what we are doing on a thread in the COMMERCIAL SYSTEM (new small venture starting in UK)
There are a few active member from UK here (probably 10), and there is an UK aquaponic forum but it's very new and not much happening there at the moment, things are set to change.
AP is spreading like wildfire and now in europe we are getting more up to date with global trends, at commercial level more is needed but that's a worlwide sytuation.
