I am very interested in aquaponics and I am currently building my first setup with a 10 gallon FT and a bell siphon in the grow bed. I've been lurking for awhile trying to soak up as much information I can and trying to find the right system for me. I don't have much space at the moment, mainly because the Wife doesn't like the idea of it. So my setup is in the basement next to the french doors, so my setup will get some light. I will upload a picture of my setup here shortly.

Hey, Chris!! I tried to use my Aquarium, too. I haven't sprung for a pump, and so have not been successful, yet. I tried the 'air pump' lift... I don't have enough space to make it work, as I have it laid out. I need to put my tank lower... and create more space for the grow beds.

But I also just remembered I have three small washtubs I'd used for 'making paper' with my middle-school students... My plans are coming together!!

I think I'll have to spring for a small fountain pump.

I had everything but the pump already, so I went ahead and purchased that from Lowe's. I want to start out small to get the hang of it, then I want to expand into a green house in my back yard later, I have 2 acres.
