The systems seem easy enough.
I'm planning on a 55 gallon tank for my tilapia. Pumping the water through 4 inch pvc pipes with hydroton inside. My only question is how many fish for a 55 gallon drum?

Welcome Ahydoc...

Stocking density... isn't about the size of the fish tank... although there are limits...

It's about the amount of filtration you have available to process the fish wastes at an expected feed rate...

How long are your PVC pipes???... the volume of the media in your pipes... will determine the amount of fish you can have....

(Although I wouldn't do 4" pipes filled with media)
