Hi All from Kalgoorlie,

I have been stalking the forum for a while now so thought I better introduce myself.

I got interested in AP after seeing a friends IBC system and couldn’t work out why everyone didn’t have one????
Our IBC system has 2 buried IBC fish tanks gravity feeding (SLO’s) to an IBC sump with a single pump back to 4 grow beds made out of halved IBC’s, currently running CF but will be on timed Flood and drain when I get around to hooking up the timer.
We have 40 SP’s that have been in for a couple of days and the plants have been in for around a week,

The holes are dug for another couple of fish tanks and a sequencing valve is waiting to go in but the minister of funds and recreation mumbled something about renovating... she has a point though and we will see how this goes first, besides I think its a bit warm this time of year for Trout!!

Cheers Sav

That is a great size to start with Sav. There are a few systems in Kal, at least one if them is a fairly large system too.

Welcome to the forums mate. :thumbright:

Wow Sav, everyday we wake up to see something new and today it's yours. Wow, nice start. I am constantly surprised and you are definitely one of us by saying "why hasn't everyone got one?"

Thanks rsevs3 and Faye,

There are a few more systems in Kal than I thought when we first started putting ours together. I think the large system you are talking about would be OBO’s, who not only have a huge well thought out system but gave us nube’s an information overload when we paid hem a visit, thanks again OBO if your reading this :notworthy:

And looking forward to the trials and tribulations of having a system, so far it has been easy but its only starting which may end up answering the why doesn’t everyone have one question :dontknow:

will keep posting progress

Nice Sav...

This picture looks strange, almost as if the beds are floating..

It is quite easy isn't it, so long as you keep things simple and don't push too hard you can't go wrong.. :thumbright:

Skyhook
I think its called rack it from Bummings, its powder coated racking good for 750KG had to bury it in to get a decent working height , seems OK and reasonably priced

I spent a couple of days going through your thread before I thought about setting up our the system, Nice bit of work on the DWC too If you ever want to catch up for a beer let me know I might just ask a million dumb questions though (only on the first couple) :occasion5:
