How's it going everyone? I started reading a book about aquaponics not too long ago, and after numerous videos online showing people's personal success with their systems, I've decided to start on a project of my own. My parents are retiring soon and I figured this would be a great present and practical way for them to get a good amount of produce and fish right in their backyard.
I have had some experience with planted tanks but it was always for aesthetic purposes (Aquascaping), but I still have much to learn about Aquaponics. Books can only provide so much information - so I figured the best thing to do is interact with others and learn through this forum. Hopefully through my own project and the guidance of this community I will learn enough to have a successful system - as well as contribute newcomers when and where I can.
