Post subject:  Hello from Western Sydney :-)

Hi there backyard aqua-farmer-people :-)

I've been hanging around reading for a week or so, but I figured it was probably time I introduced myself :-) I'm Abbey, and I think I might be turning into a gardener

I don't have all that much room to plant and grow what I want and I am rather fond of fish (ornamental and on the plate) so aquaponics seemed like a pretty good option to investigate.

I'm not sure how large I'm going, or when I'm going to start as I have to get the rest of the jungle tamed first, or even what type of fish or cray I want to work with, but I'm going to pick brains :-)

I also have a vertical hydro system that my Dad and I built when I was a kid that might be worth getting rolling again, but it was a bit disappointing last time so I want to learn a bit more before I attempt that. I'm hoping the lack o' fishies will not be too big of a problem ;-)

Catch you 'round!

Thank you :-) I've read through a lot of the downloads and whatnot and *shakes head* you guys are going to make me brush up on my water chem :-P I was quite happily cruising along and ignoring it, but it seems like it is time to find the latest studies and get back in the game :-) Probably about time ;-)

Yes! Sydney! Well, ish. I keep being told I'm in the middle of nowhere :P Are there many Sydney people still active or is it a passing phase for most?

I am loving the creativity of this place. It is fab!

Lots of people in Sydney doing AP.... they just for some reason aren't as active on the forum(s) as those in other capital cities...

How is everyone's setups going in this rain?
I have 20 cm or so of water across my entire yard and the rain is gonna make the whole thing overflow anytime now...
