I am a newbie....and I know there are experts right up the road and I will be visiting in a few weeks. Until then, I recently moved, and on the property is a ~1700 gal pool with some sort of fish in it...maybe. Very green and some sort of plant growing on the water surface.

Can this pool with fish in it, be the beginnings of a new system?

Can I have 1 grow bed, with the pool, and put together some sort of "proof of concept" demo?

From what I understand, if this pool would work, I potentially could have ~ 3000 sq ft of growing beds?

My goal is to produce enough food for 10 people, year round. Within reason of coarse.

I think that pool is definitely a prospective fish tank.
