Are you human?: yes
Location: Australia, SA Fleurieu
Hi all,

I've joined to learn a bit and make a few contacts, really want to get my first system right. Planning to start on it in about a year's time (have to build the house first..) will be a small system, haven't decided between barramundi or rainbow trout as preferred fish.

Cheers

JSTRUD

Hi Jstrud

Welcome to the forum. Everything you need to know is in here.

Good idea to start a members thread before you build your system - gives you a place to keep answers to your questions that always come up.

Hellooooo!

I'm in SA too! I'm just a newbie as well, but I think the deal with our climate, is you can do barra in summer, and trout in winter, cuz it's too cold in winter for the barra, and too hot in summer for the trout... or you can do perch all year round cuz they're more tolerant of the different temps.

We still haven't decided which way to go either, we've got goldfish in our system at the moment :-)
