I love the concept of Aquaponics it was a easy sell for my better half her diet consists of 90% veggies. I've been lurking for the past 3 months and can't seem to get over all the info on the sites I've been reading.

I've started collecting parts for our system so far I have 5 IBC's that had Liquid smoke in them and a Super sack of expanded clay (enough to fill the 3 grow beds 12" deep). We have a recycled green house 8x16 currently on site that I'll be modifying to house our grow beds.

Welcome! Can't wait to see your members thread! Start it early, that way you have an easy place to document your progress. I know that helped me during the stressful times.

I am in Slidell, La not too far from you. My IBC's also had liquid smoke in them. I guess we used the same BR supplier?

My area had a lot of damage from Hurricane Isaac so I'm in recovery/rebuild mode. Once I'm back up and running maybe we can share visits to each others farm/garden.

helomech, I've tried to snap a few pictures as things progress.

Ronmaggi, I plan on starting a members thread soon maybe even this weekend.

Scotte, More than likely the same supplier for the IBC's. 8) We got some damage from Issac also but part of it turned into our design. A friends fence blew down and had to be replaced I took the old fencing to wrap our grow beds, sump and fish tank. It would be nice to have an fellow APer over to visit.
