Dear Aquaponic Friends,

I am so happy to say I have joined the ranks of those who have begun this exciting journey of aquaponics! My husband and I heard about aquaponics from our Brother-in-law, who has begun and runs a fish hatchery along with doing consulting for other companies. He told us about how he had done some consulting for a company who were going to market a home aquaponic system in the U.S.A. My husband said to him, "Don't tell my wife about this, she will jump right on it!" Well, he did anyway, like any good Brother-in-law and I did go nuts! I love the whole idea of growing food let alone in such a cool way! I couldn't read enough about it which led me to BYAP and the wonderful downloadable guide on IBC aquaponics. We set up the system this weekend in our courtyard so it is just a baby but I look forward to many years of doing this!
If I can figure out how to add a picture, you will see I cut it wrong, that was our first and biggest mistake so far! Haha! But we jimmied with it and got it working anyway. :D
Your Friend,
Pioneer Lady :wave1:

Hi and welcome to the forum PL :wave1:

Uploading pic's can be a little confusing at first but as you become comfortable with all the buttons within the forum it becomes easier. Firstly, its a good idea to select the phot's you want to post and resize them to 800x600 so they will be accepted (anything out of these parameters will not upload), save a copy of them to your desktop so not to wreck your originals.

PM me if you get stuck with anything :thumbright:

Uploading photo's in a nut shell goes a little like this=

When you post a reply or open a new thread, as you have already, type what you like in the text box.

The next heading under the text box is titled "Upload attachment" you want to hit the "choose file" button and it will open a browser which you can select your photo from (already resized and saved to your desktop) Then click the "Add the file" button and it will take a moment to load in. You can do this another 2 times to make a total of 3 pics.

When you "submit" the post they will automatically load in.

Or - when you have all 3 pics added you have the option to "place inline" which is located at the bottom left side of the text box. You can choose each pic from this and add them into the text box which basically does the same thing as previously mentioned.

See how you go

Welcome PL :wave1:
We hope that you have a GR8 adventure with AP.
We were bitten by the bug 6 mths ago and have gone from one IBC system with 2 GBs to having two outdoor IBC systems with 2 GBs apiece and 2 blue barrel indoor systems.
Bring it on :headbang:
Four out of our 5 collective children came fishing with us yesterday. Last night we ate the first of our fish. It was a very satisfying experience :flower:

Your first (probably of many  ) system looks lovely and tidy. :thumbleft: :thumbright: Looking forward to watching it develop
