Hey yall, Im Brooks. I live in the foothills of NC. Taylorsville to be exact. Just wanted to introduce myself... seems like a nice forum here. Im 28, married 5 years, and have a beautiful 9 month daughter. Life is busy, but Im always looking for a new project!
I just got three IBCs to start my system. I believe they are 1200 liters or 300+ gallons??? I also get free sifted and screened gravel from my dad's work. And I was given an above-ground-pool pump (500+gph). Havent spent a lot of money (yet).
I cut the first IBC at approx the 275 gallon mark to get started. Ive been playing with it this week, and got a simple setup going. I plan on adding in the other IBCs somehow. Also thinking about making some plywood/pond liner growbed tables. I have to lay it out for the wife's approval first, though. She's cool with the whole thing as long as I can make it "look pretty".
Anyways, nice to be a member of a pretty cool site!
