Greetings all name is Eddie :wave1: . Retired Us Army Paratrooper. I am very new to Aquaponics so new in fact that I don't have a system yet. Still in the research phase, looking for supplies and at designs. Hope to learn a lot from the forums, and hope to be able to help others later on.
So greetings, looking forward to getting started ,and being more self sufficient.

Thanks
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

Welcome to the forum :wave1: . There's lots of information here and plenty of people willing to answer your questions. Don't forget to check the links at the top of the page.

Clicking on the information link at the top of the page will get you to lots of good info to start planning your system.

Another good tool is The IBC's of Aquaponics which is a free download - from here http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/information/47-information-and-links.html
Plenty of other reading material there as well.

Welcome

Be prepare to spend a lot of time and money. Read a lot before commiting yourself. And is it going to be a toy, or a matter of survival for you? I assume for you it is going to be the second one.

Hey thanks for the welcome , I am getting started right now. Zubin I guess it is a little of both right now. I have decided to start with a small system for now, at the end of the summer hope to put up a green house and then go with the IBC system.

llnightngalell I have seen those on Craigslist , and that is where I plan on getting mine from. I wont be heading that way till later , looking to pick up some Barrels also. I also have a truck but it is a gas hog if yours is better I would split the gas , if you want to wait that long.

Nice Set up JT Have to stop by next time in Wilmington , I head that way a lot going to Ft Fisher or South port.

Didn't realize there were so many on here from NC and Sc that cool . The support will be good to have.
I have checked out the information at the top of the page great stuff.

I am blogging about my progress with the Aquaponics and my regular soil garden also if anyone wants to see the progress so far. Not much but getting ready to start the build, been researching and gather supplies.

Thanks again for the welcome
Eddie
