Hi all, At last have managed to find a forum which maybe able to help me in my quest. Basically I'm a Brit with an Ethiopian wife who keeps saying the UK is too cold and wants to move home (I'm all up for that as the beer is way cheaper), but then she says she wants to have the same standard of living as in the UK. I have a property in Addis which has a fairly large backyard and am considering an aquaculture system as a sort if second business in the backyard (have previous experience of home based hydroponics). Therefore I am trying to find out about some commercial systems that I can ship in (if the price is right) and get started. Most of the fish in Addis is normally caught elsewhere in the country and frozen and lorry freighted in Addis. I'm thinking that if I can get a corner of the market with really fresh tilapia, I maybe on to a winner. Then again DIY may be a possibility as most sort of stuff needed is available in the local markets, the only thing that put me off this; is that its possibly going to get complicated to put together Therefore any feedback from any members who have gone down the same sort of route would be appreciated. cheers all jb66 |
