Hello all,

My friend sminfiddle has planted the AP bug in my brain, and I am itching to try it out! It looks like the time is near for me to set up, so I am in the planning stages of a modest CHIFT PIST system. Great to find you guys, and thanks to sminfiddle for getting me hooked.

Hey Nat...welcome to the forums. Rick is a good guy, and I cannot think of a better local source for knowledge.

Thanks, all!

Hi Mark, yes I was talking to Rick today and he mentioned you. I'm thinking about a 4 IBC CHIFT PIST system, though the specs change daily. When I get some specs, space dimensions, and pics ready, I'll post and see what input you guys can give me. Rick's already giving me a ton of ideas.

I wish I had the space for a 4 IBC system. I have to bury my sump IBC before I have the space for my fishtank IBC. My GB's have to be barrels because that is what I have space for. At least I will be able to showcase the "A lot of food in a small space" idea. Have you used Sketchup at all? I found it to be quite useful for figuring out my layout.

I have downloaded Sketchup and used it just a little. I agree with you on space - the two locations I was thinking of for putting the IBCs turn out to have buried utility pipes or wires, so no burying a sump! I'm glad I did the "call before you dig" thing.

Gonna go measure the yard in a bit...
