Hi, New guy here. I live just about in the middle of Mississippi. Have been experimenting with aquaponics for a year or two. Tried several types of systems. I finally decvided on a combination of them. I have a 1000 gallon fish tank. I started out with about 50 feeder goldfish I have had for about two years. Some are getting up in size. I have a combination of beds. A couple of 100 gallon gravel grow beds, about 300 gallons of wicking beds hooked up to the fish tank, two smaller systems made out of 6" plastic pipe, and assorted containers built over the top of the fish tank. I also water some individual containers and raised beds I water out of the fish tank. I just finished putting it all together last week. All I will be growing this winter will be different types of greens. It should be ready to really produce by spring. |
