Hi, I have just joined this group and am totally green. I have downloaded the free manual and it is fantastic. I've also watched the video and I think this is the way i will start my new venture in Brisbane when I return home. We live in a Queenslander with an East facing balcony at the back. I would like to have the garden beds on the balcony with the fish tank on the ground. This is unused space, is ugly and I was going to make a fish pond anyway before I heard about Aquaponics. I don't think the balcony would support a heavy tank filled with water. Is it possible to run the system this way? I suppose it depends on the length and diameter of piping and the power of the pump, but that may be too simplistic. Any ideas? |

It can be done. As you say, you will just need a pump which can pump a decent amount of water to the height of your growbeds. |
