Hi everyone, Been reading up on Aquaponics for quite some time, decided to register up on this forum. I have currently purchased most of the equipment to do the simple Barrelponics system, just to get my feet wet in the hobby. I currently have a decent size Square Foot Garden that is great. It feeds my family of 5 with all the Vegies and herbs we could ask for. The chickens cover the eggs nicely too. The barrelponics system looks like a great thing to get me into Aquaponics, and if it is proven to be better then my current method, then I may upgrade the lot! We are moving to QLD at the start of December, so I cant actually setup the system yet. It will be all done once I get to QLD. I will have to start again on the SFG side aswell. Going to redesign the setup into portable raised beds. If anyone is local to me currently I would love to have a chat about anything Aquaponics related if you are interested at all. I am in Pakenham, VIC I will be moving to Hervey Bay, QLD - so would like to maybe find some people up there too. Cheers, John |
