Hello to all of you that have been the source of many nights of great reading. I look forward to joining the army of like minded spirits that both enjoy and despise washing gravel, getting wet and smelling fish and flowers.
I am not a techy, but I will upload pictures of my setup that is now being torn down for winter. Not to complain, I am optimistic that my "Aquaponic experiment" will be taken on and in the greenhouse very soon and I will then have the resourses to provide you with pictures of what you have inspired through your debates.
My setup: 80 gal 12ft sq GB tropical fish and minnows. 600gph bilge pump, 12vdc battery, 120vac battery charger, timer, solar panel. Then I found the forum and realized I could have done more. Using your various comments for writting proposal for greenhouse space.
The future: 500 gal proposal for the greenhouse, "aquaponics" from my pond, and making "aquaponics" a word so that I never have to put it in quotes again.(or tell spellcheck to ignore)

Sincerely yours,
The Mad Scientist :geek:

Earthbound,
I recognize the name. I do look forward to sharing some of my many experimental setups. I like that this is where one comes to get the information, not buy it. One serious question, in my proposals to the University, do I need to give you all as a source, would you mind? I do not want to step on toes, nor pretend I am smart enough to do any of this without your help.

Everyone gives advice freely around here, :) and I'm pretty sure no one expects recognition of help or advice given. It's up to you whether you do or not...

Use of photos and or diagrams would need credit where credit is due though generally.
