many many of the older posts to satisfy my beginning aquaponics addiction and never ending couriosityMy Age is 33 and since childhood I always was a greenie and techie. Might be a good start to get addicted to aquaponics some day
That day has come and a few weeks ago when I started to build an indoor-system in my kitchen:
It's a 50L Aquarium + 60L Growbed and Sumptank, set on a metal shelf just below the window to make use of the sunlight.
After accidently flooding my kitchen last week during a test-run
and causing rain from my neighbor's ceiling, I ordered myself a break to reconsider and add some additional security measures, so the system is dry at the moment until an emergency pump is in place.Thankfully the neighbour below is Flo, a good old friend, who didn't kill me for that... I paid some beers and promised to help him on the next redecoration
Being an active wikipedia contributor and evangelist, I also started yet another Aquaponics Wiki. Writing down there what I've read here and elsewhere helps me to learn and understand basic concepts and components as well as advanced topics. Addtionally I hope the content of the wiki is helpful to other newbies later on.
I know there is already wikiaquaponics.com and aquaponicswiki.com, loosely connected to this forum, but both don't seem to be very active and for my purpose it was almost better to start from scratch. So there it is: http://de.aquaponics.wikia.com
It's only in german language by now but when it matures and/or some helpers show up that could be you...
