Hi everyone,

I am also new to this game, just got the system (IBC) up and running cycling without fish due to the extreme cold, we are in the hills and zero has been shown on the thermo a couple of times.

I have been able to put a few marron in the FT and vegies are planted, PH seems ok around 7.4 zero of anything else showing up on testing so far.

Keeping the vege going using the seasol method until it warms up a bit and I can get some fish.

I am attempting to run pretty much a stand alone Solar system, but due to the cold I have to use a battery charger at night to keep the battery up to the job.

Only running airpump at night not cycling the beds to try to avoid massive temp changes for the marron.

Maybe later if I am happy with things I will add more battery capacity to avoid the battery charger, but the charger uses minimal power so it is not really an issue.

Hi Jackied :wave1:
Great starting system you have there. You could have filled the growbeds a lot higher with media as that would give you more filtration for the system. But you can do that anytime
Good stuff :thumbleft:

Hi Jack,
Welcome aboard. :wave1:
Do you have more pics of the system, overall ones, we love to look.
Nice part of the world you live in down there.
Is it true you have migratory cougers/mountain lions down there, or just fanciful stories.
A pic of that would be good, of course being a fellow APer your word will be taken as gospel.
