So had today off and insulated and clad my ibc in the morning, it looks pretty good (you'll have to take my word on it at this point cos it's too dark to take a pic now)

we did get some Barra from freo tafe the other day which have been chilling out in the bath (no one else uses it) and will be until i'm happy with the outside water temps (currently 19 overnight in my tank has been for some time though), have been changing 50% of the water each day which has been keeping the water readings pretty good also this allows me to prime the IBC which has been running fishless for a couple of months so when the temp is high enough the system will be in full swing for the fish load

anyway here are the barra happily swimming away in the bath

Carefull with the bath Freebz. If you guys have used it in the past the soap residue stays in there for some time. Ive killed yabbies like this before.

Dont ask why I had yabbies in the bath either.. :D

800g cleaned is an awesome size. Were you afraid for your life when you were trying to drag it out?

harvest time can be so depressing.

today the big tank got to 25 degrees and looks like it's going to be in the 30s for the rest of the week so it was time to whip out the 4 remaining rainbows, now i have no one to look up and smile at me when i get home after a crap days work :(
have to wait for the barra to get a bit bigger and the temp to get high enough to stick them in the big tank

gutted weight ended up 1.8kg for the 4

i suppose it's a good time to rip out and replace the plants in the now system though

Well next door got hit by lightning on saturday. Powerpoints blown off the wall charring down the wall. tiles blown off the roof.etc. blew up my computer alarm system phone line and air pump. Didnt figure that one out till yesterday when the backup power on it ran out lucky no fish in that tank at the moment. Barra freaked out a bit it did hit less than ten meters away from them though. Just figured out this internet on phone thing so youll have to excuse any spelling and grammar omissions cos i havent figured that out yet

Still no conputer action yet so ill keep it short.
Harvested about half of the spelt wheat on the weekend filled a 4 litre container so far.
Got a new pump 10000lph which has solved my dead spot problems. Put the inlet from a 3 legged slo style manifold which works well.
The barra are now ranging from 3 inches to a huge 6 inches so will be sticking the big ones in the main tank after christmas
