It was pretty good. Sweet for a beetroot. It came from an assorted seed packet so no idea what breed it is

Ok time for an update.
sounds like we will get full compensation for our silvers that died from concussion by the compactors the developers were using over the back fence which will pay for the insulation, cladding and barra that i will be adding to the ibc this weekend if i get the time.
temps in the main tank are getting pretty hairy for my trout (25 c) so will start thinning out the herd tomorrow i think, can almost drop barra in there already overnight temps have been no lower than 19 for the last 3 weeks and will be adding a heater soon (when i get the time)

the few barley that germinated are now starting to get a head on them so nearly harvest time, the wheat is looking like it's not far off either. having a competition with one of my mates to see whos wheat yields more per plant (he's a farmer) so that'll be fun to see his went in earlier though.

fennel is used to give an aniseed flavour, use it like silverbeet etc. great for flavouring stocks/soups we used this one in a potato bake and came out pretty good, better the next day actually.

Sweet trout guys!

Gee, your FT is nice and clear Freebz, looks great.

Ive read that fennel is great to deter nasty bugs from your GB as well.

yeah. i thought i caught the big one but the cheeky bugger is still swimmin away. besides i cant take too much credit cos i only got them 6 weeks ago...

my main tank may be clear but my ibc is so green you can only see 3 inches below the surface, working on it though (too much direct sunlight i think) going to make up a lid when i finish insulating and cladding it.
