Ph - 7.4
Ammonia - .25 ppm
rate - Showing a little bit of color off zero but not enough to be 5.0
rite - 0ppm

So system seems to be going along well.. Just waiting for the inevitable ammonia spike.

I cheated abit and added some slightly more mature plants and some naturally occurring bamboo lattice :P Everything seems much more happy now with the shade.

If you haven't already, add some seasol to that'there GB/FT - it'll help ease the shock of transplant for those more mature members of your now rapidly filling GB!

Im adding 4 capfuls a week to the grow beds. Not sure if its enough or to much but thats what ive been adding.

Well it just copped a liberal dosing of seasol due to me dropping the bottle where i shouldnt have..water has gone a lovely tea color.. Hopefully it will go down over the next couple of days.

If your pH is holding at 7.2, and ammonia is just slightly above 1ppm, it should still be fine... just do not add any more feed or seasol... You do have fish in there right??

Ph is good. This is my first spike that I have been waiting for to get it all kick started. I have some small goldfish in there at the moment.

So..

Its all going well..

One tank has no algae, the other one has a brownie/green algae forming on the walls of the tank. The water is all clear.

Only thing I can put it down to is one tank only has a single piece of shade cloth on it. Should I be worried? Should I clean it?

No, and no.... it's bio-film growing on the walls... not algae as such... which grows all over the tank, including the bottom.. and the pumps etc... even in the water...
