Hi Johny5, I'll have to measure the distance between standpipe and bell, it was about 50 mm but I have since trimmed stand pipe as water was too high, I thinking perhaps I should up the size of the bell to 65mm or 75mm. I'm thinking there may be some capillary action . All gbs have two 90 bends.takes about 4min to drain

I use 65mm and have had no issues, i have also trimmed some of the stand pipes to adjust water level and hasn't caused any problems.

Hi Kittacooch, just been having a look at your system ,looks great. Have got the siphons all going but still don't trust them yet, some are still taking a while to turn off. How have you cut, holed or slotted the bottom of your bells and what distance do you have between stand and bell. Also does it matter how much water is at the bottom of gbs once they have emptied?.
Sorry about all the question but if ya don't ask ya never know.
Cheers John

Thanks Kitacooch, do you know what paint sticks to IBC plastic?

Hey JohnnyK,

I found a spray can paint specifically for plastic. It seems to work pretty well. Try to spray once in place to avoid scratching...

JohnnyK When I first built my larger system with bell siphons I played around with it for ages. Could not get them to both work correctly. Then when I finally stopped fiddling I all began to work like magic.
