Forgive me Garfield! I replied like that because I didn't pay any attention to the fact that this IS NOT MY THREAD

When I saw it in my email I just replied like it was my own.

Ha, yes .. thread has been hijacked!.

oh well..

i'm still planning out my flush tank system and going to replace my earth garden beds with sumps sometime in the near future.

If anyone has any more feedback on my system, except going for a CHIFT PST system. is welcome to say something.

My limitations are 9x12 concrete pad, got 10 barrels to work with.

This is my current garden, growing a lot of onions.
The red shed will be moved as it is occupying the space of the future greenhouse.

Found a source for the Tilapia http://www.hennekehatchery.com/ Has anyone used them before ?

What do you say we launch a South Texas Aquaponics Facebook group? :)

Everyone I talk to about the project gets genuinely interested.. at least I don't think it's the offer of beer in exchange for manual labor part. Dk, maybe you'd be interested in helping too {please}.. Converse is like a hop skip and a jump away! lol

Anyways.

Thanks !

Chris

My bad. Didn't intend for that. Barrels and ebb and flow doesn't normally have issues with waterlogging as NFT does. Where did you get your barrels?

A properly configured NFT system.... wont have problems with "waterlogging" of plant roots....

A squillion commercial hydroponics operations proves that... :dontknow:
