The blue barrel system is just to tide me over till i get around to building an ibc chift pist set up. Got some free pea gravel and hydroton grow media from scott :notworthy: and 2 ibcs from work so far.
Was planning on filling the ibc system from the bore and i guess with ammonia in the water i wont need any charlie carp but i dont think i will be able to top up the FT without getting an ammonia spikr and probably killing the fish. Just using tap water for the blue barrels so that wont be an issue once i add fish. If i put the bore water in a holding tank to off gas is there any other cost affective way to remove the ammonia?
