Hi, brand new member. Been running my system for about 9 weeks. Fish is growing and multiplying well. BUT, I found a lot of small snails everywhere and a small lite color worm/parasite looking. I have a picture I'll try and post. Are they harmful? How do I get rid of them if needed.

When I had a snail problem I bought some assassin snails at the pet store. I don't have any snails now, but I also changed my AP setup, too, so I'm not positive what finally got rid of the snails. I DO know that the snails can cause a real headache by stopping up the lines and valves. Don't know about the worm looking guys, but depending on what fish you're using I think I would try dropping a few mollies or mosquito fish in the tank. They're both pretty aggressive on worms and other bugs in the water. Might be an issue if/when your main fish start breeding, tho. Feeder goldfish might work, too.
