Hello there.

I wanted to just say that I have be bitten by the AP bug!!! I just moved out of the city of LaGrange and have about two acres of land. I want to start an aquaponics system. I have just done research ( hours and hours ) but have yet to start. Should I start small? I know I want to have a big system and do not want waste money on the small system, but also want to learn. Any advice? Also I have been reading this forum and not many places in Georgia that sell supplies ( fish, tanks, media, etc.) and not too many people with systems. I would love to see a system in person. I am planning to build green house next to a barn already on the property. My plans are to have fish tanks in barn and plants outside in greenhouse. I am not a carpenter but handy if I have plans. Just not sure how to start. Thanks for reading and any suggestion would be great. Or visiting your system if you live in Georgia.

Hiya principalpowell welcome to the forum.
My advice which can be taken with a pinch of salt, (not table salt though..) is to start medium size, that is plan your system with the intentions of expansion. So up size the pipe work, fish tank and sump (if used).
I'd imagine ibcs would be available there (see ibc of aquaponics top right) quite modular however they can be limiting. If you can get a big round fish tank, do.
The more water in the system the more stable the system.
AP is not a miracle grow and does take a while to get going so the sooner you start the better. ;)
Hope this helps.
