Hi Everybody
You have a great informative forum here the best I’ve seen,
I have been doing so much research and have finally got my system running this weekend. So now I’m cycling it fishless. I intend to have Barramundi in the FT and red claw in the sump. My FT is 1000 ltr’s & sump about 800ltr, I have 8 blue barrels for grow beds, CHIFT PIST with all grow beds feeding back to FT for aeration plus I will have a air stone in there when the fish arrive, water temp at present is 26.5 C. I will try and post a photo,,, Tallawah

Very nice system!

I can't tell from your pic but you will want to be siphoning the overflow water from the bottom of your FT to your sump instead of off the top.

Yeah, it looks good. If your FT is the one on the right, just put a t-piece at he overflow outlet with a piece of pipe down to the bottom of your FT and a breather on the other side of the t-piece.

Are you planning on covering the system in any way? Rainfall up there could see a lot of your nutrients getting washed out.

Hi aboman & markhup

Yes the FT is on the right and I,m drawing two overflow pipes from the bottom with T joiners to break any sifon , the 3rd over flow pipe is higher than the others and is there in case of a blockage and will draw of the surface.

Hi gazza
Yes I have a tin roof carport to go over the system, we had 14" of rain here last weekend thanks to Cyclone Ita, our property backs onto a beautiful fresh water river and it rose 10 meters overnight it was a amazing sight,
regards
