Hi, i'm a newbie in this theme, and was lucky to find your forum. I'd like to start a small farm for myself. a have a big area on the old factory which i can use. So I thought why not to try?! I don't speak English good, but I will try hard to understand everything!

Hope to find good friends and couches here!

Tnx. Alexander "DoctoR"

strange but i can't enter your forum, only via proxy. (((( but yesterday it was working. I'm going to make inner system. as I told before i have a big floor on the old plant, it's still working, but this floor is closed for a long time. So i can user it for free. For now i'm studying everything so i think it will take 1-2 week to prepare for the start, but as soon as it happen I'll make some photos for u all.

You speak english far better than I speak Ukrainian.

I'd love to see some pictures of the site you're planning on using. Not many of us have access to an old factory.

I hope everything is safe for you there with the issues going on.

I'm gathering info for start. As soon as I'll be ready I'll make a photos of the whole start. Now, I started looking for parts and components of the system. I think preparing will take approximately 2 weeks. during this time I also will try to find the best fish for such condition.

The only thing I worry is it's pretty hot in summer in that building and very cold in winter. For now I can't figure out how to get through this. I'm short on my initial capital so it will be hard to but air conditioners or warmers, i think.

And i like to say tnx to u all. Good and experienced advise is the thing i'm looking for as I'm not a farmer at all. )))

Do you have the ability to open windows and install fans? Plants like air movement too, so you could possibly just cycle the air.

I just did some research on your average temperatures, I wouldn't worry about cooling. It gets hotter here in Australia (had a 44C+ heatwave over summer), and as long as you choose wisely with your fish species, you should be fine, my plants didn't even wilt while I felt like I was about to die outside (although, I did add some ice when the water got above 32C, my fish were looking droopy).

Heating, others can probably help you better in that regards (We don't get cold enough here to worry). But I think it depends on the size of your system, the size of the area you're growing in. But I've seen a fair few systems on here that have snow piling up around the greenhouse, and they are plowing along fine.
