Greetings All. Newbie here. Just getting started with my home IBC system. Just need to plumb it up now. Any suggestions?
I have been doing NFT and bat bucket hydroponics for quite awhile now. Looking to make it all commercial someday.

To expound a little more.....glad to have found this forum. I am building an IBC system. 450 gallon fish tank, 3 grow beds each with their own sump tank. I have it all laid out the way I want it. Now to plumb it. I am planning on connecting the sump tanks with a two inch pipe low on the tank. Pumping from the farthest sump tank back to the fish tank. Then pumping from the fish tank to the grow beds. Is my thinking correct?

Think about putting the pump as close to the fish tank as possible. Pump from the sump to the fish tank and let gravity take the water to the grow beds. Only one pump is required.

I love this forum. We are almost neighbors (I'm in Austin). I'm very newbie - I've setup my first AP system with a 20 gal tank. The gold fish are going in tomorrow. We will see how many funerals we have in the next week! - Hopefully not many as I'm trying hard not to make the same mistakes y'all have made! :)

Although I do appreciate you sharing your mistakes you have made for my benefit!
