I'm very new at this and just getting started. I'm on the edge of zone 7b (almost zone 8).

Love the site and can't wait to get a system together.

It's going to be a basement project. Mainly due to costs and temperature concerns (replaced with lighting concerns). As far as size, I'm not sure how to answer that.... here is a list of some of the components I have that might help:

2 – 330 Gallon IBC Totes (uncustomized so far)
1 – 550 Gallon Storage Tank (4 foot X 7 foot cylinder)

The Fish Tank is probably overkill, but it's what I have on hand.

Umm.. dumb question. How do I post up sketchup plans?

I've been working on several somethings in Excel, but I would be willing to use something else to get some feedback.

Either take a screen shot and save to image, or make a rendering. Then just post as a normal image to forum.

Oh, didn't think to do a screen shot. Here I was trying to learn Google Sketchup.

It might be kind of a small image... we'll see.

Also, since what I have is a little bit different. This is a picture of the 550 Gallon Tank that I plan to use for fish.

Sorry the picture was a little blury. Hopefully, you will get the idea.

I probably need to start a build or idea thread. To get some input from everyone.

Thats a good idea it also allows you to have a good record of your journey. Do not be afraid to include your mistakes because we all can learn from them as well, cheers
